It would be nice to be able to slide the screen to either side and see other stops in the particular transit center or Park and Ride. It is not practical to save all the stops as favorites, then you would need favorite favorites... and getting to the stop next to you involves going to map, zooming in and trying to click on the near by stops, which takes quite a lot of time and is quite cumbersome. It should be very ...more »
The ability to track a single bus on the GPS locator map, there are too many busses that run at one time for the map to be usable. If it had a "only show favorites" or "saved" or a "single route" would be a vast improvement in tracking the bus or buses you specifically need.
Would love to see the most recent bus, so I know if I really missed it or if it's late.
While I'm riding a bus, I'd like to touch a button and see the bus I'm on and The current schedule. When users are unfamiliar with a route lije I an, there's anxiety if I'm on right bus and what's my next stop or expected arrival time.
I suggest you...
Add real time (GPS based) arrival info signs at each bus stop on a route (or at least the transit stations). A solar powered, black and white LCD info sign using a cellular transmitted GPS based program like ONE BUS AWAY to provide the real time bus arrival data...
Inform about buses that continue on as a different number. For instance, 43 occasionally becomes 44 near the U-District. During the day this happens very rarely. As the night progresses, it happens more often. It's damn near impossible to tell if a 43 will turn into a 44 when buses are running late. I've seen a line of 43's arrive, where I knew one would become 44, the others terminate sooner.
Scheduled bus should show arrival time, but no time shows as if no bus was coming for that time slot. Then right before it shows up it appears on the list. Or sometimes after it already left. Usually happens in early morning.
Awesome app! But you should be able to use hybrid view on the map and be able to search an address on the map for future planning. Also, instead of touching the bus stop and it saying nothing in the next half hour, it should be able to tell you the next available bus.
It would be great if we had a way to notify Metro when a bus didn't show up, was late, etc.
Hi, I use One Bus Away exclusively and it is very much a useful application on my iPhone. I have several bookmarks for areas around the city I travel. But another woman and I have had the same problem recently. Here's the description of the issue: 1. #49 bus towards Downtown. 2. OBA (One Bus Away) said bus was 3 minutes from the bus stop 3. Bus never came within that time period 4. Checked OBA again and the bus was not ...more »
Ask (preferences) if I do/don't want bus stop # to show. When I have my regular stops identified, and know their #s, then, when weather/GPS not cooperating or etc, I can use phone for OBA answers.
The OBA app shows the following as a PT stop: http://pugetsound.onebusaway.org/where/standard/schedule.action?id=3_16127. However this stop does not occur in the PT GTFS downloaded from soundtransit.org, and the pierce transit web site will not plan a trip to this stop, nor does it show this stop on the route map it is supposedly served by, PT 28. This appears to be an invalid stop in the OBA data.
Shows the routes of school buses as an on/off switch. Turn it on and it shows school bus routes and turn it off for regular bus routes.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, make this app usable with the Seattle School Districts. This way myself and zillions of other parents who meet our children at the bus stop each day, can know when the bus will actually arrive. Thanks
