Need SEA/TAC to Seattle Sound Transit Link light rail. That is why I bought this. Even that transit agency is pointing to this app for that information.
Since this application is Washington state specific, the map should not start at a world view perspective. If anything, it should give the option to have a default area, or stay at the last viewed location and wait for user input.
Am I just really dense in that I'm not 100% sure what the info you're displaying means? It would be great if you had a legend that explained what the columns and colors are. Like, for my stop when you list a time and then say there's an X minute delay and then have a blue -2 minutes, what does that all mean?
That way riders who don't have smart phones and aren't online will know when to leave for their bus.
A common use case is that I take the same bus at the same time everyday. It would be great to be able to define a time period where a certain bookmark becomes the default stop selected when I open the application. So when I open the app on my walk to the bus stop in the morning, it already knows what route I'm looking for information on and takes me directly to that stop instead of the bookmarks screen.
On the web tools, let us search by route number and not just stop number. There is no easy way to find the route for 255 because it defaults to stop 255, which is not what I want.
The ferries don't offer any "on-time" information (other than alerts when they're catastrophically late), but I thought it might be possible to have users click when the ferry gate goes up/down, which would give other users great insights into whether the boats are running on-time or a few minutes late. Might have the side benefit of identifying and motivating the network of users of onebusaway.
I would like to see a feature to set a notification feature. Example, if someone is waiting at a bus stop near a store and would like to go inside the store for a little to wait in case it is extremely hot or inclement weather. Their phone would remind them that the bus is almost there and to head outside depending on how much time they set and based on the GPS in case the bus is a little early. Also, not only be able ...more »
Work with KCM & ST to integrate announcements into OBA on all interfaces. Currently I receive email alerts when ST announces delays to their services; perhaps they would consider an RSS feed that could be integrated into the OBA app suite.
Allow users to submit information on a stop. Primarily availability of shelters and/or benches.
Would love to see the most recent bus, so I know if I really missed it or if it's late.
Show routes that stop here on the bar at the top of the Android map view before clicking through to the detailed results, like how it works on the iPhone.
When using the "Show as map" feature, it would be helpful to be able to see stops for other routes just the same as when in normal view and subsequently click on a stop in another route and show it as a map. Currently, when viewing a route as a map, only stops for that route are displayed until backing out of viewing that route as a map. This would be quite helpful when looking at intersecting or connecting routes, especially ...more »
Somehow indicate if a bus's bike rack is already full of if there is still available space. In Tampa out HART Line system only has space for two bikes so it would be useful to know if the bus rack is full or not.
Do you have historic "on-time/delayed" information for each bus/stop combination? It is nice to see the last few buses, but it would be excellent to have a link to see the performance over the last week (e.g. for the 358 bus at the Aurora and N 100th Stop it was... 9 min late, ontime, 5 min late, 1 min early, 10 min late, etc... for the entire week. Additionally, you could add an 'AVERAGE' time delayed for each Bus/Stop ...more »
This looks like a great application and I might even buy a mobile device because of it. Is it possible to get the Intercity Transit buses added to this? The 601/603 route between Tacoma and Olympia is shared by both agencies. Based on my schedule, I take a PT bus one way and an IT bus back. Thank You.
Please add info for the southbound metro stop at 15th NW and Market in Ballard. this stop is serviced by express routes that don't stop at currently available locations, and is a major transfer point in the neighborhood
On the multiple-stop page, it would be great to be able to apply route filters on a per-stop basis.
For example, I'd like to add both the Summit Ave 8/43 stop and the Bellevue+Olive 545 stop to one page, but if I add the latter, then I get lots of annoying duplicates.
Can please Everett Transit been add? Also if they probably don't have GPS on their buses but to know where the stops are and what lines drive by.
Thank you and really nice App
Show a table of favorite route current status. Or show all the bays in the transit center so we don't need to look at each bay back and forward
When I need to catch a bus departing from a terminal stop knowing the arrival time does not help much. It can be half an hour too early.
Inform about buses that continue on as a different number. For instance, 43 occasionally becomes 44 near the U-District. During the day this happens very rarely. As the night progresses, it happens more often. It's damn near impossible to tell if a 43 will turn into a 44 when buses are running late. I've seen a line of 43's arrive, where I knew one would become 44, the others terminate sooner.
My home address is my default setting. Would be nice if this would be the first page to appear with bus stop info. Rather than a generic map of area with no bus stops.
Allow re-ordering of starred stops on android -long press and drag would be awesome. The reason being that not all trips are single bus rides and it would be good to be able to group transfers. On a similar note it would be cool if the starred stop shortcut took you to the starred stop list every time - if you didn't back to the starred list after using the app it will take you to the last page instead right now. Awesome ...more »
