Show lines on the map (especially in mobile apps) of a route, not just the stops. This would be helpful for seeing a whole route from a mobile phone.
Take snow routes and when the busses are running them into account. Right now (Monday, 11/22) many routes, such as the #70, are running on snow routes; however, OneBusAway doesn't show that when you look at a stop which is not being served (such as any stop on 15th Ave. NE for this route).
Would be nice to make this a universal app, so the larger screen of the iPad is supported.
When I am zoomed in on a particular location on Google maps, and then enter a bus route, it zooms out, losing the initial zoom. Can this be prevented somehow?
Please enhance readability of stop icons on mobile devices (Android). It's nearly impossible to see an icon's directional arrow without zooming way in. This is especially important when opposing direction stops on the same street overlap. Increase both arrow size and color contrast. The web map is easy to read, but the Android version is tough.
Any chance you guys could add Kitsap Transit bus routs to the mix? That would be sweet!
If stops had qr codes for easy access, it would be awesome. Dc did that and it's been going well.
Phantom Buses: A bus is listed on the app and the arrival time is decreasing as though there is a real bus on route. However, the app will then show that the bus went by although no one saw it. This has happened to me on the Route 50 several times, including last night. Incorrect bus arrival/departure time: Today the app showed that the bus would be 2 minutes early, so I went outside to wait. I waited for 5 minutes ...more »
Route 65 was temporarily changed while a new bridge was built on 35th ave between 110th and NE 95th. The bridge is built and the bus is back on its normal route but Onebusaway has not changed the stops back to the regular route. It's been 3 weeks now and I'd like to know when my bus is arriving at 105th St.
Faster load times in the webapp and/or indication of loading. See Issue 274: http://code.google.com/p/onebusaway/issues/detail?id=274
perhaps give 3 buttons - 1 to say it was earlier than estimated, 1 to say later, and 1 to say on time.
What's up with the title for this stop? http://onebusaway.org/where/standard/schedule.action?id=1_2672
Have the same data no matter what system someone is using. I just checked your website vs mobile vs iPhone app and they all said different things for the same stop. Stop #15375. Not just different times but entirely different busses. Which one is right??
The 545 schedule for Stop #682 (4th Ave & University St) is incomplete. For example, only three buses are shown between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. (at 8:06, 8:24, and 8:38) even though there are actually seven according to the SoundTransit website (at 8:06, 8:15, 8:24, 8:33, 8:38, 8:47, and 8:56).
New BUG. Someone broke the site with a very recent change, and now I am being prompted to set my location. I don't want your cookie. I clear cookies almost constantly. The new bug: When "Real-time arrival info" is "Opened in a new window", it loses track of the stop and displays a blank map (that worked on Friday). If opened in the current browser, it still seems to work. Some of us turn off referer headers to ...more »
Why is the King Country Metro Route 347 removed from the site along with most of it's stops?
Since I almost always want to see a bookmarked stop, I'd like to be able to set that "page" as the first thing the app displays. As it is now, I have to wait for it to find me on the map and zoom in before it responds to my pressing the bookmark tab. I'd like to set it to go directly there. Thanks for a great product!!
When using the bus stop an 1st Ave. S and Seneca St. in downtown Seattle, the real time data seems to have a couple extra buses and does not list the #10 bus. (I'm using the web tool)
The login options for either Facebook, Google or OpenID don't work on the" Change your default search location" at http://pugetsound.onebusaway.org/user/index.action or http://pugetsound.onebusaway.org/login.action locations. The links go nowhere and so I can't login and save or change my default stops and location.
Scheduled bus should show arrival time, but no time shows as if no bus was coming for that time slot. Then right before it shows up it appears on the list. Or sometimes after it already left. Usually happens in early morning.
Thank you for developing this amazing tool! My feedbacks is in regard the arrival time of bus 74 to Stop # 10080 - W bound (55th/Ravenna). It changes a lot from one minute to the other. Today's example: -next arrival at 8:21pm: 8 min -next arrival at 8:22pm: 3 min -next arrival at 8:23pm: 9 min I don't know if this estimation are part of your algorithm or comes from King County but this feedback may be helpful. Thanks! ...more »
To add a feature to turn off the notification that there are no bus stops in your area. I tend to check my phone while I am driving to the bus stop and since I am not close to a stop, I get the warning (something like 8 times on occasions). Please and thank you - otherwise - great program. Keep up the great work.
This is a great tool, but a couple of initial reactions on the UI (with the proviso that I am a new user and may well be missing some subtleties). 1. Don't you think it would make sense to put a link to log-in to one's user account on pretty much every page? It's less than intuitive where one does that. 2. The same goes for bookmarks. The settings page is a less than intuitive place for this. Shouldn't I be able to ...more »
hey not a big issue at all but on the 54 you have the destination "wildwood village" and its actually "westwood village"
thats it! thanks for your AMAZING tool!
I would recommend improvement in the signal recognition/sensitivity in the iPhone app. I work in an office tower downtown and often my signal drops to 2-3 bars (from 5) when I walk towards the center of the building to catch the elevator. Normally this is a non issue, but with OBA it starts throwing up error messages in repetition that it cannot connect. As soon as I dismiss one, there are another 3-5 that are waiting ...more »
