Holiday schedule

Just FYI, It's a holiday today and there are limited runs on a lot of buses. Example, 56ex is not running at all today but yet it is on your schedule and show it in real time - arriving now etc... That is confusing if this system is suppose to be 'real time'.

thx!

What happened to real time data????

Since the beginning of December the majority of routes no longer have real time data. Instead they all say "scheduled arrival." Which is totally worthless because I can see that on the bus sign. What this app USED to provide was real time data so I knew when my bus was going to be late. I contacted the app's developers and was told it was an issue with Sound Transit as they are the ones that provide real time data on ...more »

Inaccurate bus route destination information.

It would be nice if the route destination labels for busses that fall into an express format of another route could not include any stops that the express skips. It seems misleading when a bus is listed as heading somewhere when that version of the route doesn't actually go to that location. My personal, specific example is the Sound Transit 513 (northbound express in the evenings). It shares the same destination description ...more »

Time Options

I could really use a function that allows you to select a destination and arrival time.

this would allow me to select the best route to take & find out in advance when I have to leave to get there on time.

This would help me determine what time I need to be ready, when to leave my house, and when to set my alarm! So helpful!

"Follow" or "Add" bus stops?

It would be nice if we could "follow" or "add" bus stops on OneBusAway, and then we could get notifications about our buses. For example, a notification could pop up on your phone, saying something like "Your bus is on time today" or "Your bus is "x" minutes late/early today". It would be great if we could get notifications like that without having to check the bus app for that information ourselves.

Just a thought

So I have two ideas. One: I'm a single mom with a stroller bags breakfast getting on the bus at 5-6am with a 3 year old who is usually asleep. I think it would be awesome of there were a way to notify whether the bus is a high step or a low rider. If it's a low rider I can get on the bus a break down everything without disrupting the line getting my bags the stroller my child and coffee. Two: would there be anyway to ...more »

Buses "running ahead" of schedule when they are not.

I noticed a while ago that a #5 bus was apparently running 3 minutes ahead of schedule at N 85th St on Greenwood Ave N. I almost decided that I would miss that bus because it was "running hot" -- which Metro buses are NOT supposed to do, but twice this year I saw them. But when I got to the bus stop just as the bus was pulling in I realized it was right on time. I think that your data source records when a bus ARRIVES ...more »

CHANGE IN BUS ROUTES

The Mercer and Thomas St stops on Aurora have been closed for what king county metro is calling "long term" (I've heard about 2+ years). Could you update the app to reflect that change and the new temp bus stops? Here is the link to download the PDFs for more info: http://metro.kingcounty.gov/up/rr/reroutes.html (Click on the ones that say Route 0 "Long-Term Bus Stop Closures")

Delay information in onebusaway results

When reading onebusaway results, the delay information is a bit confusing, and doesn't seem very useful. Especially If the rider does not know the usual arrival time. I think it would be easier to read onebusaway results if only the arrival time and minutes until arrival are given. If the rider knows the scheduled arrival time, then the delay can be calculated if desired. But this doesn't seem like functionally useful ...more »
