Transportation Election News Function on App

Commute Riders - Unite! I think raising awareness amongst bus riders about the politics of public transportation is very important. King County recently rejected Prop. 1 that would have allowed funding to pay for transportation service costs. Riders especially, who depend on the bus as a mode of transportation, should be encouraged to make their voice heard at the ballot box with related news feed. Something to read...while ...more »

Lighten search bar background

I can barely read text in the search bar due to the dark background. If there is a way to lighten it, I'd really appreciate that.

Change Text option link for Kindle support

I use be to able to use the Text version of your site on my Kindle to get bus scheduling but recently you changed the url to start with 'http://aalborg.cs.washington.edu:8005/where/text/...' which no longer works. Could you change the redirect link back to 'http://onebusaway.org/where/text/...'

Why use IdeaScale?

There is so little activity on this, and most comments so old, I have difficulty believing that you are getting useful info. I don't know if you need to market this better to get more feedback. Or, the inactivity is the vote that it's just not perceived as useful or worth our time. SO many people love that the app exists and rely on it. I don't understand why there are (proportionately) so few comments. Overall suggestion: ...more »

Differentiate two stops by adding direction info

Add directions to stop titles in phone app. The full website has the directions in the description text. I got really confused by looking at a stop for the wrong direction. And now that I have added both directions to my Favorites, it's even more confusing.

OneBusAway vs. BusTime stop numbers

Sync up your bus stop numbers with the BusTime numbers on the King County Metro site. It's confusing that they are not the same and the KC Metro numbers are much easier to find via a web search.

Need easier way to submit bus stop numbers

Make it easier to locate bus stop numbers. The NB and SB stops in Redmond outside the OTC (for route 245) were really hard to find because they did not seem to want to display with the bus icon on the map in the phone app. So I had to search pretty deeply on onebusaway.org on my PC to find the rout maps, and therein I found that all stops are listed and was able to click on those two to get the numbers. This was a lot ...more »

easier bookmarking & prefernces

I want to look at map, see a bus stop, star it, have it automatically record # of stop, route #s & direction, intersection -- or any other format I put into settings, instead of me manually doing it. OR, i may want to name it "# 1234, within 1/4 mile of xyz" - I want what I do on computer and on Android to synch

bus stop #s

Ask (preferences) if I do/don't want bus stop # to show. When I have my regular stops identified, and know their #s, then, when weather/GPS not cooperating or etc, I can use phone for OBA answers.
